Inspired by the dress of the high fashion designer Iris van Herpen, we used a triangulated structure to obtain the building’s sophisticated shape. Its form is based on overlapping and merging “spheres”, which create the look of foam like bubbles. The bottom part of the tower is slim and clearly structured, but has also a few decorative bubbles flowing along its surface all the way up to the expansive top.
Considering those aspects an interesting tension between top and bottom create an incomparable atmosphere as well inside as outside.
Hosting mainly luxury apartments, the unique bubble inspired shape makes it possible to float the interior of the Cocoon Tower better with daylight. The resulting breathtaking view from the inside provides a royal, boundless, yet intimate feeling.
