Our dress is part of the collection “Lucid” by Iris van Herpen. It radiates the exclusiveness of lucid dreaming through new unusual patterns and shapes. These patterns and shapes do not occur naturally and were unthinkable in the fashion industry prior to the invention of parametric design. Shimmering star-shaped patterns progressively occur in the lower section on the spherical shaped areas of the dress and expand in size on the tightly fitted parts of the body, similar to the universe where you find accumulations of stars but also a wide open space with less stars.
The infinity of space was the main inspiration for the design of our building “The Cortex” (lat. “shell”). The pattern skillfully coats the wedge-shaped main body and then expands in a wave-like movement to the ground in the surroundings.
The facade is holding the building’s main volume and it seems as if it is lifting it with supernatural forces. Lit by sunlight the facade mirrors on the facade create a sparkling scene, a spectacle for the eye.
