The Twist Tower is a 240-meter-high building in Manhattan, whose facade design was inspired by the garments of the Australian fashion designer Dion Lee.
building and skin … aero twist
The facade of our Aero Twist Building was inspired by the Dutch fashion designer Iris Van Herpen. After we had analyzed the dress, we divided the facade into several sections with irregular curved and sharp edges. The futuristic design stands out by the visible vertical twist.
building and skin … amanzi tower
The inconsistent waves of the facade are inspired by the Aqua Tower and symbolize the movement of water, relating to the Hudson and East River, as well as the Atlantic Ocean. In addition, the lines which are coating the construction are also wavy, create a solid structure and contrast with the flowing floors. Regarding the muscle suit, there are similarities in composition and design.

building and skin … cocoon tower
Inspired by the dress of the high fashion designer Iris van Herpen, we used a triangulated structure to obtain the building’s sophisticated shape. Its form is based on overlapping and merging “spheres”, which create the look of foam like bubbles.
