The project is a 300-meter-high skyscraper located near New York‘s Central Park. The inspiration for the building design comes from a dress from the SINTOPIA collection by Iris van Herpen. Orientation was found above all in the flowing lines and the multi-shaded layers of the dress.

The geometry and facade of our building are based on the haute couture dress Look 10 from the Ludi Nature Collection by Iris van Herpen. The sweeping fabric served as a template for the slightly twisted towers. We extracted the geometric shape of the squares from the dress, slightly distorted and projected them onto the facade of our design.

The design idea for the Streamline 57 was dictated by the parallel fluctuating lines of a dress which was manufactured by the dutch Designer Iris van Herpen. Similar to the dress, this skyscraper is defined through the interplay of several ribbons.

The Holographic Tower is based in Manhattan, New York and stands out because of its unique facade. It is geared to a dress of Issey Miyake’s 2016 collection and depending on the viewers perspective the tower appears differently.

The 250 meter high tower The Curve is located southern from the Central Park and is opposing the Trump Tower. Aim of the study was to develop an abstraction of a dress by the Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen into a facade. Throughout the process a dynamic skyscraper emerged.
